California State Parks reopens some campgrounds in San Luis Obispo County

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. -- Some State Parks campgrounds will reopen beginning Saturday. State Parks says they will reopen at Morro Bay State Park, Hearst San Simeon State Park and Morro Strand State Beach.

People who have a reservation can begin checking after 10 a.m. Saturday Sept. 19, walk-ups will not be allowed.

Each campsite will allow up to eight people and a maximum of two vehicles. Group campsites will remain closed.

San Luis Obispo County requires everyone to wear a face covering when six-foot distance cannot be maintained. Not all restrooms will be open to the public.

All State Parks campgrounds closed in March to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus.

Reservations can be made at reservecalifornia.com or by calling 800-444-7275.
