ATASCADERO, Calif. - More than a dozen firefighters spent nearly an hour battling a stubborn motorhome fire late Thursday morning.

The flames broke out after 10:15 a.m. on the 6500 block of Via Avenue in a vehicle storage yard and quickly spread to a nearby metal warehouse and vegetation.

A narrow driveway filled with multiple parked vehicles and limited space made the firefight challenging for the 16 firefighters.

Damage was contained to the motorhome; the nearby vehicles, with an estimated value of $20,000 dollars, were not damaged.

Crews remained at the scene for approximately 2 hours for overhaul and investigation. Fire investigators believe the flames sparked in or near the motorhome.
