It is “Virtuoso Award” night at the Santa Barbara Film Festival

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) -- The weekend kicks off with the Virtuoso Award presented by UGG at the 37th Santa Barbara Film Festival at the Arlington Theatre.

This award is given to multiple "up and coming" actors for achieving breakthrough performances.

Some of the actors expected to walk the red carpet and take the stage tonight are Caitriona Balfe (Belfast), Ariana DeBose (West Side Story), Alana Haim (Licorice Pizza), Ciarán Hinds (Belfast), Emilia Jones (CODA), Troy Kotsur (CODA), Simon Rex (Red Rocket) and Saniyya Sidney (King Richard).

Actor Dave Karger, Turner Classic Movie Host, will moderate de conversation for the 12th year.

The red carpet starts at 6:30 p.m. and the ceremony is scheduled to start at 8 p.m.
