Lotusland launches online art sale, gallery exhibition
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Lotusland has launched an online art sale & gallery exhibition in the Funk Zone.
Over 60 pieces of artwork are displayed throughout GraySpace Gallery.
Local artists were given three days to visit the garden and only eight weeks to create, capture and complete creative concepts.
“It's a unique opportunity to see local artists' work inspired by our own community,” Lotusland executive director Rebecca Anderson.
Some of the art includes paintings, pictures and materials based in the 37 acre botanic garden.
Funds raised support the non-profit’s sustainability programs which promote and teach individuals, groups, gardeners, and institutions about the best methods and practices in horticulture, environmental responsibility, and stewardship.
“When people come and see the diversity of art that is created from this space, it’ll excite them,” GraySpace Gallery owner Ruth Ellen Hoag said.
The art gallery is open Thursday through Saturday from 12 p.m. till 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 p.m. till 4 p.m.
The artwork is also available for purchase online up until May 3rd.
