Tall ship San Salvador draws a crowd during Fiesta

People line up to tour replica tall ship San Salvador

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.-People lined up to see a tall ship visiting the Santa Barbara Harbor.

The San Salvador arrived on Friday and the ship's crew is giving tours all weekend.

It is a replica of a ship from 1542 that was built in San Diego.

Volunteers from the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum are on the dock and on board answering questions.

Historians said the San Salvador was the first recorded European vessel to sail along the coast of Southern California.

If you missed touring it today the tours will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. again on Sunday.
