Fire crews contain brush fire to 14.25 acres near Highway 246 and 154 in Santa Ynez
SANTA YNEZ, Calif. – Crews contained a vegetation fire to 14.25 acres in Santa Ynez off Highway 246 near 154, east of the Santa Ynez airport, according to Santa Barbara County Fire.
Vegetation Fire: 3900 Blk Mission Dr. Santa Ynez. UPDATE: Forward process stopped at 2:10pm. Fire appears mostly isolated to a field of grass. No structures threatened. Crews will remain on scene to finalize containment and mop-up. Cause under investigation. pic.twitter.com/VToU3DFydA

Santa Barbara County Fire confirmed that the fire's forward progress was stopped around 2:10 p.m. and that the fire was isolated to a grass field where no structures were threatened.
At 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, the California Highway Patrol incident report log said an officer spotted a brush fire starting at the vineyard.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
