Deck of vacant Santa Barbara restaurant catches fire

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Santa Barbara Fire Department found the deck of a vacant restaurant on fire just before 7 p.m. on Tuesday night.

As fire crews arrived, they found heavy smoke in the area. That's when they saw the fire coming from the deck of the empty building at 131 E. Anapamu St.

It took firefighters about 10 minutes to knock down the fire. They are currently investigating what caused the fire.

Anapamu was closed as firefighters put out the flames, but opened after crews cleared the scene.
