Longtime supporters of Santa Barbara Unified honored at annual Hope Awards

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Santa Barbara Education Foundation received a dose of hope and some monetary donations during the organization's annual awards.

Thursday's 'Hope Awards' celebrated two standouts making strides for students in the Santa Barbara Unified School District.

This year's virtual event honored Craig Price and Nick Rail for their longtime support of public education.

Price, who's provided counsel in education law, received his hope award from his daughter, Mallory, a teacher at Adams Elementary.

Rail, of Nick Rail Music, has made music available to students over the years by providing new instruments.

More than $71,000 was raised in the online gathering.
