Four teenagers arrested in San Luis Obispo after burglary
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Officers were called to the 800 block of Marsh street in San Luis Obispo around 11:15 p.m. Monday to a report of eight to ten people vandalizing business windows. Officers found several businesses including Shoe Palace, Central Coast Surfboards, and Founders Bank had damaged windows, according to the police department.
It appeared the windows were shot out with BBs, the police department said. The damage is estimated at several thousands of dollars.
A witness told investigators the suspects stole an unknown amount of clothing from the window display at Shoe Palace. The suspects left the area in a white sedan.
On Tuesday, around 4:45 a.m., officers were called to a glass-break alarm at Laguna Smokes in the 11500 block of Los Osos Valley. One officer saw a white sedan leaving the area.
Officers followed the car and four people got out of and ran. Two of them were quickly found and arrested. Two others turned themselves into police later in the morning.
Investigators said they found property from Laguna Smokes inside the suspect's car. The teens also had two pellet guns.
SLO Police said additional items of evidence were found and are being evaluated to determine if the suspects are involved in the vandalism on Marsh Street.
Police arrested a 14-year-old boy from Paso Robles, a 15-year-old boy from San Luis Obsipo, a 16-year-old from Atascadero and a 16-year-old from San Luis Obispo.
