Ventura police investigate shooting early Saturday morning

VENTURA, Calif. - The Ventura Police Department responded to several 911 calls regarding gunshots heard in the area of the 100 block of East Center Street early Saturday morning.

The calls came in around 2:30 a.m. Patrol officers and a K9 unit were dispatched to the location and began investigating.

Police said while they did find physical evidence that a shooting occurred, there were no victims located in the area.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to contact the Ventura Police Department at (805) 339-4452.
