Carjacking and robbery suspects arrested in Oxnard
OXNARD, Calif. - Oxnard police arrested two suspects for carjacking after a short car chase early Saturday morning.
Oxnard police responded to a report of the carjacking and robbery around 1:10 a.m. in the area of Seventh Street and F Street.
The victim of the crime said that he was confronted by two suspects. One was reportedly armed with a knife and demanded the victim's money and car keys.
The suspects then fled in the victim's vehicle. A short time later, a patrol officer located the stolen vehicle and tried to conduct a traffic stop.
A short vehicle pursuit occurred until the car eventually did stop. Police then took both of the male suspects into custody and arrested them for carjacking. One suspect was additionally charged with robbery.
Police said two female minors were also in the vehicle. They were cited and released to their parents.
