Lompoc police arrest known gang member for firearm charges

Emmanuel Hernandez, 18, arrested for possession of a loaded firearm as a gang member.

LOMPOC, Calif. - The Lompoc Police Department reported arresting a documented gang member on the 300 block of West Maple Avenue on Monday.

Officers responded to the location around 3:52 p.m. and contacted Emmanuel Hernandez.

Police said they found Hernandez to be in possession of a loaded firearm.

Hernandez was arrested and booked at the Lompoc Police Department Jail for possession of a firearm in public, possession of a firearm by a gang member, participation in criminal street gang and violation of the gang injuction.

Hernandez has been served with the City of Lompoc Gang Injunction.
