Santa Barbara Police searching for four suspects involved in customer robbery at Ross
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Santa Barbara Police Department responded to a series of crimes on one victim at a Ross on State Street Friday evening.
Police said four suspects were involved in a theft which took place in the Ross at 3965 State Street.
The crimes were committed around 8:30 p.m. Officers report that there were multiple victims.
Police said at least one suspect was in the store where he waited for a woman to pull out her wallet at the register. The suspect then grabbed the wallet and ran.
The woman pursued the suspect, but he hit her and kept running. The victim had a minor injury.
The four suspects drove off in a Mercedes Benz. The vehicle was later found abandoned at the Chick-fil-A on State Street.
One suspect was described as a black male wearing a gold beanie and purple shoes. He was last seen on Ontare Road.
The other suspects, a second black man and two Hispanic women, were seen running in the other direction down State Street.
Police said there were no weapons seen during the crimes, making this a strong arm robbery where force and fear were used to commit the theft.
