Man fatally shot in South Oxnard; suspects still at large
OXNARD, Calif. - A man was fatally shot at 3:37 a.m. Sunday morning in an alley in Oxnard and the suspects responsible have yet to be found.
Oxnard Police Department Patrol officers heard gunshots while in the area of the Southwinds Neighborhood.
While checking the area, a bystander flagged them down to show them a person on the ground.
The victim, described as a 20-30-year-old Hispanic male, was found lying in the alley of the 5300 block of Perkins Road suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency Medical Services responded, but pronounced the man dead on the scene.
The City of Oxnard is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people responsible for committing homicides within the city.
The Oxnard Police Department Major Crimes Unit is investigating the incident and asks that anyone with picture or video of all or part of the incident upload their files directly to the investigators at this link.
Oxnard Police said all submissions will be logged into their digital evidence system, but contact information will not be stored. Those wishing to remain anonymous can choose not to fill out contact information as well.
