Small plane crashes near Oceanside; 2 people injured

SAN DIEGO (AP) — A small plane has crashed in a field near the municipal airport in the Southern California city of Oceanside and two people have been injured. An Oceanside Police Department spokesperson says the crash was reported just before 1 p.m. on Thursday. The pilot and another passenger have been taken to local hospitals. No details have been released about their injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
