SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Local musician George Pendergast of Dishwalla and The Pen 15 Club jams out with the morning news and talks about his Rockshop Academy and what it's offering for kids this summer.

Students enrolled in the Rockshop Academy Summer Session will engage in a week of intensive exposure, learning band performance, basic writing techniques, band marketing and imaging. Students will form bands, learn about song composition and arrangement, and perform a live concert, with the guidance of the Rockshop Academy Pros and advisors.
