Atascadero needs a new perspective and new ideas in the city council that will be transparent and move the city in a positive direction.
What makes you qualified for the job?:
I have taught government and leadership at Atascadero High for 31 years and I know how government is supposed to run. I have been involved with many local civic organizations as a volunteer and have worked with a variety of people in the community. I know how to work cooperatively with different groups of people from many varied backgrounds and experiences to get the job done.
What are your two main priorities if you win?:
Reducing the homeless problem in our city and to encourage new businesses to invest in our city. In order to do that, we must have cooperation from the citizens for new ideas that will stimulate our economy and create a warm family environment.
How will you interact with other governments?:
By working with the other cities to find out what they have done to solve similar problems and to work together to provide support and suggestions for improving our central coast communities.
What are your plans to help overcome COVID-19?:
Follow the protocols set by our state and local governments to counteract the spread of the virus by wearing face masks, social distancing and washing our hands. We need to set the example and encourage others to do the same.
Which two issues are most important to you?:
The need for more funding for the police and fire departments and the need to bring old and new businesses back into the city.
