SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Santa Maria Fire Department was conducting its annual aircraft rescue and firefighting drill on Tuesday at the Santa Maria Regional Airport.

The Santa Barbara City and County Fire Departments and CAL FIRE also participated.

Smoke could be seen coming from the airport.
