No major injuries in vehicle vs. bicyclist near Carpinteria Middle School

CARPINTERIA, Calif. - The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's office responded to a reported vehicle verse pedestrian Wednesday morning in Carpinteria.

Emergency medical crews were dispatched at 8:19 a.m. to 8th Street and Palm Avenue behind Carpinteria Middle School. When paramedics and sheriff's deputies arrived they found a bicyclist who had been hit by a car.

The Sheriff's Office says the juvenile bike rider was going the wrong way down the street when they were hit. Thankfully, there were no major injuries. The bicyclist complained of pain but was not transported to the hospital.
