Weekend Picks, Dec 13-15th

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Ventura Harbor celebrates the season with its 43rd Annual Ventura Harbor Parade of Lights.  On Friday, December 13th and 14th bring the family to a very colorful boat parade and firework show! Soak up some holiday cheer with shimmering lights, whirling kid carnival rides, and much more. A boat parade will continue on Sunday, December 15th at Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard. Carpinteria's Annual Holiday Spirit Parade returns for a day long of free and family friendly activities. On Saturday, December 14th beginning at 3:00 PM bands, dancers, horses, classic cars and floats will line along 9th street and continue down linden. With a tree lighting taking place at 5:30 PM. Westerlay Orchids in Carpinteria will host an open house on Friday from 4 to 7 PM. Celebrate the season with a visit from Santa Claus, enjoy cookies, appetizers, and cider with proceeds from the week being donated to Food Share of Ventura. For more info, click here.

Santa Claus is coming to town! For the annual Santa Claus Run taking place Saturday, December 13th at La Cumbre Plaza in Santa Barbara. Runners will have plenty of holiday cheer for both the 5k and 1 mile fun run. The 5k run begins at 8:30 AM with the one mile fun run starting at 9:00 AM. For more info, click here.

If your in the mood for some holiday carols the Santa Ynez Valley Master Chorales will host a holiday season concert. On Saturday, December 14th and 15th attendees can enjoy Christmas carols both traditional and new, all meant to warm your heart. For more info, click here.

Bring the whole family to enjoy the 58th Annual Old Town Orcutt Christmas Parade. On Saturday, December 14th at Noon bands, floats, mounted riders, and entertainers of all shapes and sizes will continue the holiday tradition. For more info, click here.
