Police arrest man in stabbing incident in Goleta

GOLETA, Calif. - Santa Barbara County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man on attempted murder charges on Tuesday.

Deputies arrested Glenn Allen Ray, 58, Camarillo for attempted murder and driving on a suspended license.

On Monday around 8:43 p.m., Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Deputies responded to Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital to investigate a report of a victim who had been stabbed.

In their investigation, they found that the stabbing occurred at a transient encampment near the dead end of Ward Drive on Monday night.

Through their investigation, deputies identified Ray and arrested him on Tuesday night.

Ray was booked at the Santa Barbara Main Jail.

He is currently being held on $1,000,000 bail.

The victim has not yet been released from the hospital.
