Firefighters respond to structure fire in Isla Vista

ISLA VISTA, Calif. -- Santa Barbara County Fire responded to a structure fire in Isla Vista Friday afternoon.

Firefighters arrived on scene to 6555 Picasso Road in Isla Vista around 2:39 p.m.

The fire happened at a multi-unit apartment building.

Five engines, one truck, an ambulance and battalion chief responded to the fire.

Fire officials were able to knock down the fire within five minutes.

Fire officials say one person was treated for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
