11 arrests made in Lompoc gang sweep

The Lompoc Police Department conducted a gang sweep operation in the city.

Officers say they conducted about 60 compliance checks throughout the area with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office, State Parole, Santa Barbara County Probation and the Santa Barbara Police Department.

Lompoc Police say the sweep resulted in multiple arrests for possession of a concealed gun, possession for sale of narcotics, felon in possession of firearms, felon in possession of firearms, felon in possession of ammunition, vehicle theft, and outstanding warrants.

The suspects arrested include Eddie Morello, Edgar Gutierrez, Eric Catalan, Ian Coggin, Jose Cruz
Justin Howren Junior, Kiari Carter, Nicholas Freitas, Oscar Diaz, Shaylee Lopez, and Venessa Gonzales.

Officers seized two illegal guns, about one pound of methamphetamine, and a large amount of cocaine were seized from people on county probation.
