Police arrest two suspects involved in stolen car and drug possession in Ventura

Ventura police arrested two in possession of a stolen car and drugs in Ventura late Saturday night.

Police arrested David Snyder, 44, of Ventura and Dustin Coke, 20, of Ventura.

On Saturday night around 10:18 p.m., police located a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of Bayshore Motel on 3075 East Main St in Ventura.

The car was occupied by three subjects and was seen leaving the motel parking lot, police say.

Officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of Dos Caminos Avenue and Central Avenue.

Police made contact with Snyder, the driver of the vehicle.

During the investigation, police found that Snyder was in possession of a shaved key that he used to steal the vehicle.

Police also found illegal drugs in Snyder’s possession.

Coke, one of the passengers in the vehicle, was a parolee.

The third passenger was cleared and released.

No one was injured during the incident.

Snyder was arrested for felony possession of a stolen vehicle, burglary tools, and possession of narcotics.

Coke was arrested for his felony parole violation.

The car was returned to the owner.
