Solvang City Council denies medical cannabis dispensary permit appeals

Solvang City Council members denied two appeals related to medical marijuana dispensaries.

Appeals made by Fristaden Wellness and Mountain View Elemental Wellness were denied.

The city had rejected Fristaden Wellness’ permit and called Mountain View elemental Wellness’ application deficient.

The applicants can being the application process again.

The city council said they would allow one dispensary on a single parcel of land in what they call the allowable zone at 1210 Mission Drive.

The city didn’t want it near schools but it is across from the school bus yard.
