Firefighters responded to a brush fire in Nipomo Friday morning.

The fire broke out behind the CVS on the 600 block Tefft Street, near the Post Office.

According to Cal Fire, power lines were knocked down and Pacific Gas & Electric was called in to assist. Crews later determined that the power line was abandoned and not energized.

We have a crew en route and will update this story as we learn more.
