Santa Barbara County offered free way to improve air quality

Santa Barbara County bus services celebrated a statewide day of action to improve air quality by encouraging drivers to get out of their car. Santa Barbara MTD offered a free 10-ride bus pass to the first 500 people who pledge to try an MTD bus during October.

The clean air express is also offering free round trip passes to new riders. The clean air express operates in northern Santa Barbara County, including the Santa Ynez Valley, Lompoc, and Santa Maria.

Clean air day is a statewide program that encourages residents to try alternative transportation.
