Sheriff’s Office receives calls about man accused of attempted kidnapping in Buellton

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office said they are getting a lot of calls about the man accused of attempting kidnapping in Buellton.

Deputies arrested William Henderson on Tuesday.

Henderson faces attempted kidnapping charges. The sheriff’s office said Henderson tried to take a two-year-old girl out of the Albertson’s store on Highway 246 last week.

Sheriff’s officials said they have received a lot of phone calls since then from folks who say they have had bizarre run-ins with Henderson.

None of the incidents would lead to an arrest or charges, the sheriff’s office said.

Henderson posted bail on Tuesday.

He tells NewsChannel three that he is innocent and has hired an attorney.
