Atascadero State Hospital to hold active shooter drill
The Atascadero Police Department will host an active shooter drill at Atascadero State Hospital this week.
The drill will be held on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on hospital grounds.
It will happen outside of the hospital’s secure patient treatment area.
Residents who live near the hospital are advised that they may see and hear the drill as it happens. Signs will be posted in the area to alert the public about the drill.
Access to the hospital will be limited for some, but activity in the hospital will be unaffected.
