Santa Paula man suspected of selling drugs to Ventura residents arrested

A Santa Paula man was arrested in Ventura County in connection to the possession of narcotics Wednesday night.

Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics detectives contacted Daniel Fernandez, as he got off of State Route 126 at Wells Road at around 7 p.m.

Detectives say they detained Fernandez and searched his vehicle where they found cocaine and a digital scale.

Fernandez was arrested and transported to the sheriff’s office headquarters.

Following Fernandez’s arrest, detectives served a search warrant at his Santa Paula residence located in the 200 block of Beckwith Road.

Officials say they found more cocaine as well as other narcotics and paraphernalia suggesting the sale of narcotics.

Detectives seized 104 grams of cocaine, 20 grams of ” Molly, ” 281 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, more than 1500 Alprazolam / Hydrocodone pills and Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD).

Detectives also found money that they believe to be made from the selling of the drugs they found.

Fernandez is also suspected of selling these drugs to Ventura residents.

According to officials, LSD and Molly are illegally obtained synthetic hallucinogenic drugs that are known as ” club drugs. ”

These drugs along with psilocybin mushrooms are extremely dangerous and can lead to severe medical complications and even death, officials said.

Following the execution of the search warrant, Fernandez was booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for narcotics sales related charges.
