Gauchos fall on Senior Night to Long Beach State

UCSB could not get a couple of key rebounds with under a minute left and they lost at home on Senior Night to Long Beach State 69-64.

The Gauchos trailed 64-62 with under a minute left but the 49ers grabbed an offensive rebound with under 40 seconds left and then collected another one on a missed free throw.

UCSB falls to 8-6 in the Big West and 19-9 overall.

The Gauchos were led by Max Heidegger’s 17 points and Amadou Sow had 13 points and 15 rebounds.

The 49ers Deishaun Booker scored a game-high 26 points.

Before the game UCSB honored seniors Jarriesse Blackmon, Ar’mond Davis, Maxwell Kupchak and Ami Lakoju.
