Target looking to hire dozens of employees in Santa Barbara before April opening

Taget plans to hire abolut 80 employees to staff the new Santa Barbara Galleria store which is set to open in April.

The company will hold hiring events to fill the positions on February 4 and February 5 at the Pepper Tree Inn Best Western, 3850 State Street.

Prospective employees are encouraged to apply for open positions ahead of the job fairs on the Target careers page online.

The “small-format” store will be located at 3891 State Sreet in La Cumbre Plaza. The smaller stores are part of a Target initiative to establish stores in urban areas.

The Target in Santa Barbara is set to open April 7. Another Target in Goleta is also expected to open in the old K-Mart on Hollister Avenue later this year.
