Rams super fans found in Santa Ynez

Players aren’t the only ones getting set for Super Bowl LIII, joining in are fans up and down the coast.

Some of the biggest Los Angeles Rams fans can be found right in the Santa Ynez Valley in a house that bleeds blue and gold.

Jim Flores and Lisa Bueno have been together for nearly four years, but have been Rams fans since they were in diapers.

“When I met Jim I relocated up here and so now we just became the official/unofficial die hard Rams of the 805,” said Bueno.

Stepping inside their house, you can see just how big of fans they are.

“Welcome to my Ram Cave,” said Flores. “This started off as a formal dining room and it has been taken over by my collectibles, so now I have to get rid of my dinning room table for the rest of my stuff,” Bueno said. “From L.A., to St. Louis, back to L.A., these are all of my pictures. My autograph Cromwell jersey, and we got a lot of old memorabilia cups, then of course my signed Jack Young Blood picture.”

The couple are season ticket holders who have attended a majority of home games including playoff games.

“When we found out that they were coming back to L.A. we did get season tickets, and we actually have season tickets for the new stadium,” said Bueno. “And we tailgate. We tailgate with the World Tour Rams and so we put on a production.”

“We have — oh gosh — about a couple of hundred people that show up for our tailgate,” said Flores.

The couple also travel to at least one away game a year to watch their favorite football team.

“We went to Detroit last year and sat in the front row in the end zone and they didn’t like us there with our Rams helmets and jerseys,” said Bueno.

Just like professional football players Jim and Lisa have their game day routines.

“We wear the same thing,” said Bueno. “I am superstitious. I won’t change anything.”

“This is our good luck Ram. It’s an actual Rams skull and it goes to every one of our games,” said Flores.

Whatever they are doing must be working since this is the first Super Bowl appearance for the Rams since 2002.

“Lets just hope that they can bring us home a Lombardi trophy,” said Bueno. “That will be great.”

“It is going to happen, they are going to win and it’s exciting,” said Flores.
