Camarillo police searching for suspects using stolen credit cards
The Camarillo Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects who are believed to have used a number of stolen credit and debit cards at retail stores throughout Ventura County.
On December 29, two suspects entered a Game Stop store in Camarillo and purchased over $200 worth of merchandise with a stolen debit card. The card had been stolen from a vehicle parked at a dog park in Thousand Oaks. According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, there have been multiple similar thefts at dog parks across the county.
In these vehicle thefts, the same suspects use the stolen debit and credit cards to purchase merchandise from stores, including Game Stop and Target, across the county.
The male suspect is described as a white man, with a small build, standing about 5-foot-6 and weighing about 145 pounds. He is believed to be about 25 years old.
The female suspect is described as a white woman, with a medium-sized build, standing 5-foot-5 and weighing about 120 pounds. She is also believed to be about 25 years old.
Surveillance video has shown the suspects both wear baseball caps low on their heads to hide their identities.
