Ventura man arrested for stealing bag of ice

A man was arrested for stealing a bag of ice from a Ventura business early Tuesday morning.

According to the Ventura Police Department, a male suspect was reported using bolt cutters to cut the lock off of a storage container holding bags of ice in front of Mandell’s Liquor Store on the 2900 block of Telegraph Road just after 1:00 a.m. Tuesday.

The suspect then fled the store with a bag of ice in a black pickup truck. An officer spotted the truck in a nearby business parking lot and arrested the suspect, 56-year-old Terry Doan of Ventura.
