NASA camera melts after Vandenberg SpaceX launch

A camera setup to capture the most recent SpaceX rocket launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base melts after a fire broke out. The images are amazing!

NASA photographers set up several cameras at different distances from the launch site. As luck would have it the one that melted was farthest away. The launch sparked a small brush fire where the camera was located, about a quarter mile from the launch pad.

The camera took pictures until the very end. While the fire destroyed the camera, the memory card survived giving all of us some incredible images.
