Ventura Police investigate string of vegetation fires

The Ventura Police and Fire departments are investigating a string of small vegetation fires that were set Monday.

The multiple fires were set at various locations between Harbor, Olivas, Telephone, and Portola streets between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Authorities say the fires were set intentionally and set in rapid succession within a small geographic area. No structures or property were significantly damaged, and no injuries have been reported.

The Ventura Police are currently investigating this case and say anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Ventura Police Department.
