Man brandishes a knife during an argument in Ventura

A Simi Valley man has been arrested after making threats and brandishing a knife on a resident in Ventura Monday afternoon.

Ventura police received a call around noon of a resident brandishing a knife and making death threats to another resident at 3750 Harbor Blvd in the Riven Haven neighborhood.

Before the police’s arrival, the altercation ended and the suspect fled the scene.

When officers arrived, they located the suspect at Riven Haven. After investigating, police confirmed 55-year old Simi Valley resident, Brian Fayard, did brandish a knife and did make death threats. Authorities say Fayard is a Post Release Offender.

Fayard was booked into Ventura County Jail on a misdemeanor charge of brandishing a knife and a felony charge of making criminal threats.
