Police investigating shooting that injured teen in Santa Maria

Police are investigating a shooting that sent a 17-year-old teenage boy to the hospital with a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to Marian Regional Medical Center. Police say the teen suffered a non life threatening wound.

The shooting happened at about 8 p.m. in the 1300 block of N. Railroad Avenue in Santa Maria.

The Santa Maria Police Department says there is no suspect information at this time. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call the SMPD at 805-928-3781.
