Teens lead march and rally against gun violence in Ventura

Thousands of people packed Plaza Park in Ventura to take part in a march and rally against gun violence.

One teenager wore a short red dress and said she can’t wear it to school at Oaks Christian.

She said there are more dress codes than gun regulations.

Some parents and teens carried signs that asked congress to arm teachers with funds rather than guns.

Another teen said you shouldn’t die doing math.

Rep. Julia Brownley encouraged people to vote lawmakers out of office if they don’t get the message.

“We know what the solutions are and we will do it if we have to state by state by state,” said Brownley.

The crowd cheered the Democrat as she quoted a student.

“I heard a young person say this morning, if the congress people in the United State Congress aren’t with us we are going to give them a new title and that new title is former Congresswoman former congressman, former Senator, that will be their new title and we will win.”
