A Lompoc man is arrested on meth charges

A Lompoc man has been arrested, accused of possession of methamphetamine for sale.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Bureau and the Compliance Response Team was conducting a probation search in the 600 block of North 4th Street in Lompoc, during the search of a residence, detectives said they located 84.6 grams of methamphetamine packaged for sale.

According to detectives, the meth belonged to Benjamin Llernas, 35, of Lompoc, who was on active probation.

He has been booked into the Lompoc City Jail and is being held without bail.
