Defensive Dons going for CIF title in D1 boys soccer

Santa Barbara rarely gives up a quality shot let alone a goal.

On Saturday the Dons boys soccer team will play for the program’s seventh CIF title when they face Cathedral at 2pm in division one. The game is at Warren High School in Downey.

Santa Barbara is 17-1-3 on the season and they have allowed just 9 goals on the season. Senior goalkeeper Ben Roach has already signed to play for UCSB.

Maxpreps has ranked the Dons No.2 in California and #18 in the country.

Todd Heil is in his 19th year as head coach of the Dons who are looking for their first CIF crown since 2010. They have lost in their last two finals appearances, the most recent one was two years ago against Loyola.
