Santa Barbara City College students prepare to see lunar eclipse early Wednesday morning

Santa Barbara City College students listened to a lunar lecture on Tuesday night.

Their professor Erin O’Conner is passionate about the universe.

He joked that the full, super, blue and blood moon were aligning for his lecture.

Students plan to meet at the end campus point for donuts and viewing at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

O’Conner suggests optimum times will be between 4:51 a.m and 5:29 a.m. in Santa Barbara.

He recommends checking out the lunar eclipse calculator to get the exact times in other communities.
