A cat is recovering after it was rescued from an apartment fire in Paso Robles.

Firefighters responded to reports of a fire at a duplex just before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on the 1400 block of Vine Street.

The cat was rescued from the smoke filled apartment and resuscitated by firefighters on scene. Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent apartments.

Paso Robles police officers took the cat to Atascadero Pet Hospital where it is reportedly in good condition.
