John Harris named Male Athlete of Week by SB Round Table
John Harris was an easy choice for Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table Male Athlete of the Week.
The senior star running back for Bishop Diego High School rushed for 319 yards and three long touchdowns as the Cardinals beat Saugus 45-27 in CIF Division 6 semifinal game.
Harris scored on runs of 88, 58 and 58 as the 12-1 Cardinals advanced to the championship game where they will play Golden Valley on Friday, December 1 at Canyon High School in Santa Clarita.
The Female Athlete of the Week award goes to Santa Barbara City College soccer player Katherine Sheehy who scored the lone goal in a win over Cerritos to send the Vaqueros into the State Final 4.
