Santa Barbara City College cuts ribbon on new Jack and Julie Nadel business school

Santa Barbara City College is now home to the Jack and Julie Nadel School of Business & Entrepreneurship.

Julie Nadel, SBCC President Anthony Beebe and SBCC Foundation CEO Geoff Green did the honors by cutting a white satin ribbon during a dedication ceremony on Thursday evening on the SBCC West Campus.

Jack Nadel didn’t live to see it. The author and creator of Jack Nadel International died last year at the age of 92.

“For me working on Jack’s legacy made this year very meaningful,” said Nadel.

Julie Nadel said this was Jack’s dream.

“Jack believed in entrepreneurism. He believed it is better to trade than fight and he believed start local go global.”

Green said Jack was a teacher and a mentor at the school.

“Jack and Julie made all of that history real by making a commitment to the entire business division, ” said Green.

Dr. Beebe said having the school on your resume will be “a show stopper.”
