Non-profits win during Oxnard Salsa Festival’s Dancing With Our Community Stars competition

Dancing with Our Community Stars is the Oxnard Salsa Festival’s version of Dancing with the Stars.

The festival invited people who have made a name for themselves to dance and raise money for non-profits.

KEYT NewsChannel 3 reporter Alys Martinez danced for Dream Foundation.

Caryl Cantrell danced for Project Understanding.

Former Voice contestant Julian Martinez danced for Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme.

Marie Briggs danced for Oxnard Pal, Inc.

Marisa Trujillo0-Martinez danced for I’m a Kid Who Can, Inc.

Suzie Azucena-Gomez danced for El Confilio Family Services.

Azucena-Gomez won after being chosen by a panel of judges.
