Santa Barbara Foresters Visit Sick Children at Cottage Hospital

The Santa Barbara Foresters brought hats, stuffed bears and plenty of love to some children with serious health issues at Cottage Hospital.

The summer baseball team has been putting smiles on the faces of sick kids for over twenty years with their Hugs for Cubs program started by former player and coach Eric Pintard.

Eric died of cancer in 2004 after more than a ten year battle with the disease. Eric’s dad is the manager of the Foresters.

Santa Barbara has won five National Championships and leave for Wichita, Kansas next week for another run at a title at the National Baseball Congress World Series.

For the kids at Cottage Hospital, the Foresters are already champions.
