Dos Pueblos Jazz Combo Wins Jazz Fest After All
Dos Pueblos High School music director Les Rose knew something wasn’t right after his school’s jazz combo failed to win a prize at last month’s Reno Jazz Festival.
He knew judges gave them high scores.
It turns out there was a miscount and their superior scores gave them the win.
The students from Goleta found out after the festival and on Tuesday night Rose surprised them with the trophy.
Rose said the young musicians made school history.
