Three More Santa Maria Teens Arrested in Marcos Ramos Killing Will be Tried as Adults

The Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office announced that the three teens arrested on Thursday for the stabbing death of Marcos Ramos in January 2016, will be tried as adults.
The DA’s office identified the recently arrested suspects as 16-year-old Andrew Molina, 17-year-old Daniel Jaime, and 17-year-old Pablo Juarez.
The DA says the three teens, “Have been added to the complaint previously filed against Israel Gasper Cruz, Carlos Geovani Perez, and Gerardo Gonzalez Flores.”
Molina, Jaime and Juarez are charged with:
One count of murder in violation of Penal Code section 187(a)
with a Gang Allegation pursuant to Penal Code section 186.22(b)(4)
The three suspects are expected in Santa Maria court on June 1.

ORIGINAL STORY
Santa Maria police arrested three more suspects in connection with the murder of Marcos Ramos.
Ramos was stabbed during an argument in the 1600 block of E. Donovan Road in Santa Maria on Jan. 25. He later died from his injuries.
Two 16-year-old male teens and a 17-year-old male teen were arrested on Thursday and booked into juvenile hall on murder with a gang enhancement. All three teens are from Santa Maria.
Due to the age of the suspects, their names will not be released to the public at this time.
Three other suspects are also facing murder charges. In all, six suspects have now been arrested in this case.
